At the Christmas Market with the Maurice de Mauriac Family

Knowing you is a great happiness

With the opera house bathed in red lights serving as the backdrop, the Sechseläutenplatz near the Bellevue is a wonderful place for a Christmas market. One can wander along the footpaths lined with red wooden houses through the ‘Christmas village’ – that’s what we call the Christmas market here – and lose oneself in the scents, sounds, colours and cheerful people.

In the middle of this dream world we have created a small Maurice de Mauriac atelier in one of the houses and have invited all of the friends of the Maurice de Mauriac family. The response was quite stunning. And for this reason, we would like to thank everyone who came to visit us. We all spent a wonderful time together. People we hadn’t seen in years, people who frequently stop by the atelier in Tödistrasse as well as an incredible number of new people that we now call friends made our time at the Christmas village very special.

We philosophised about life, time and, of course, about our watches – a warm, heartfelt, emphatic and knowledgeable conversation.

For us, the experience was truly enjoyable, and we are already looking forward to next year – after all, it is the season to rejoice in spending time together.
