I was selected as one of 1000 participants in a global women’s leadership programme organised by Homeward Bound. The Homeward Bound Project (https://homewardboundprojects.com.au/) is a ground-breaking science initiative for women aiming to send 1000 women in science to Antarctica in 10 years.
In 2016, Homeward Bound gathered the first 76 of the 1,000 women from around the world, all with critical science backgrounds, to undertake a year-long state-of-the-art program to develop their leadership and strategic capabilities. The inaugural program culminated in the largest-ever female expedition to Antarctica, in December 2016. The second cohort has just returned and I am starting the leadership programme along with 79 other women in the initiatives most diverse team to date, culminating in a 3-week expedition to Antarctica in January 2019.
Happy to talk to you about science or Maurice de Mauriac watches.
